IT'S BEEN A WHILE-UPDATE

Again I say, it's been a while.

My daughter (Angelina) Lina turned 5 in August and started Kindergarten in September.   Here she is on her first day of school.

I found myself working a contract job as an HR/Payroll Manager at a local "football" stadium in October.  I had lost my job along with 4 others I worked with back in May. I took the summer off, interviewed for HR jobs and spent time with Lina. Money was tight but we made due.

I sold the turquoise sofa set I found in the trash and found a better suited one for my living room on ebay.

I still have to change up the color scheme but love the new set! It's more sturdy and durable.  Especially with a 5 year old haha.

I love her blog and never post so I figured it's a good excuse. Kill two birds with one stone. :)

In other news, my mom has been in and out of the hospital again.  She had a brain aneurysm in Feb 2010 and since has been putting up a good fight.  This last bout at the hospital was to replace the shunt in her brain.  Scary stuff.  She's home again thank god.
Here's a picture my friend Ramona took of my folks in happier times at a car show in CT.

That's about it for now.  Hope everyone is well and I love reading all your blogs :)

  1. Hey girl! Glad to see you're still around.

What a cute little one ya got there. Sorry to hear about your Mom...but glad she is doing well. I've been working a crap job the last few months myself but plan to jump into subbing come January. It's really tough out there!

  2. Hey. thanks for the shout out! That sofa is so rad- unless it's really in bad shape I would redo my whole room just to match it, LOL!

  3. Thanks Ms. Mary. It is tough out there work wise. Hope you're settling into life in NJ with the new hubby. :)

Thanks to you too SusieQT :) The sofa IS rad. The other one I had was turquoise 50s so my living room matched that. Now I want to go more "earth" tones which is more 40s colors even though the sofa set is from the 50s/early 60s. Eventually I'll get there haha
